Great bottle, needs daily drying

Water quality is fantastic and the bottle looks stunning. Only feedback is you need to dry the outside after washing to avoid water spots, which is completely normal for pure copper. Would still recommend it.

Frequently Asked Questions & Copper Guide

Everything you need to know about pure copper bottles, cups, health benefits, and safe usage

What are the drawbacks of copper bottles, and is copper in water harmful or unhealthy?

Pure copper is 100% safe and essential for human health when used properly for still drinking water. The only theoretical "drawback" occurs if people misuse the vessel by storing acidic liquids (such as citrus juices, vinegar, or soft drinks) or boiling hot beverages, which could dissolve excess copper. When used as intended for fresh water (stored for 6 to 8 hours), only a beneficial micro-trace of copper ions dissolves into the water (approx. 0.02 to 0.05 mg/L) — far below the strict World Health Organization (WHO) and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) safety limit of 2.0 mg/L. It is completely non-toxic and healthy.

Why is drinking from a copper bottle healthy, and what is Tamra Jal?

In Ayurveda, water rested in a pure copper vessel for 6-8 hours is known as Tamra Jal. Copper possesses an organic oligodynamic effect that eliminates harmful microbes naturally. Furthermore, it alkalizes drinking water, aids digestion and gut motility, boosts collagen production, and supports immune vitality.

What is the best copper water bottle, and why 950ml instead of 500ml?

The best copper bottle is hand-forged from 100% certified Grade-A pure solid copper without internal lacquer or heavy metal linings. RedBlad crafts bottles with a 950ml capacity because it represents the ideal daily volume for the morning Tamra Jal ritual (2-3 cups on an empty stomach) without needing constant refills like small 500ml models. Our solid copper cap with food-grade silicone ring guarantees 100% leak-proof travel.

Can I drink hot coffee, tea, or other beverages from a copper cup or mug?

A pure copper cup or mug is traditionally designed for ambient drinking water, refreshing infusions, and cold drinks (such as the famous Moscow Mule cocktail). Because pure copper is one of the highest thermal conductors in nature, pouring piping-hot coffee or tea into an unlined copper mug will instantly make the outer rim extremely hot to hold or sip. For optimal safety and benefits, keep your copper drinkware for fresh water and cold beverages.

How do you use an Ayurvedic copper tongue scraper and why is copper superior?

In Ayurvedic daily wellness (Dinacharya), tongue scraping is performed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach before brushing. Hold the two handles, place the smooth curved edge gently at the back of your tongue, and glide forward smoothly 4 to 7 times. Rinse with clean water. Pure copper is naturally antimicrobial, removing bacterial plaque and overnight metabolic waste (Ama) far more effectively and hygienically than plastic or stainless steel.

How much copper dissolves in the water and how much can I drink daily?

When fresh water rests in a RedBlad bottle for 6-8 hours, approximately 0.02 to 0.05 mg/L of copper ions dissolve into the water. According to Ayurvedic guidelines, drinking 2 to 3 glasses (approx. 500-750ml) in the morning on an empty stomach provides the maximum therapeutic benefit. You do not need to drink copper-infused water exclusively all day.

How do I clean and restore the shine of my copper bottle or cup?

Pure copper naturally oxidizes and patinates when in contact with air and moisture — this is the ultimate hallmark of real, unlacquered copper! To restore the original gleaming shine in 30 seconds: mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 teaspoon of table salt, rub the surface gently with a cloth, rinse thoroughly with fresh water, and dry immediately. Never wash in a dishwasher.

Where is my order dispatched from and what is the delivery time?

All orders are packed and dispatched within 24 hours directly from our central warehouse in the Netherlands (NL). Standard delivery across Europe takes strictly 3 to 5 business days with complimentary live Track & Trace provided via email.

What is your warranty and 30-day return policy?

We stand behind our craftsmanship with a 100% risk-free 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you are not delighted with your copper vessel, email us at info@redblad.com and we will arrange a smooth replacement or a full refund without questions asked.
